Duties
and Responsibilities |
|
| |
- Actively lead team of service technicians & support administration to provide industry leading support of Canadian dealer network from coast to coast
- Manage department resources such as tools, supplies, equipment and support budgetary process for team
- Respond to all internal & external customer field product complaints; determine appropriate corrective action and implementation
- Monitor contracts and warranty claims from external Respiratory Repair Centres and TAG cylinders
- Provide answers to technical questions on all product lines and solve manufacturer’s interfacing problems
- Maintain and enhance effective communications regarding individual Technician & Departmental performance as well as departmental and/or company goals
- Instruct/Train/Cross-Train and develop new and existing employees in areas such as Health & Safety, Communication, Quality & Service and repair procedures
- Facilitate creation of internal order requisitions for Customer Service, Purchasing & Distribution (CCC product)
- Maintain corporate database on repairs and provide product failure feedback
- Maintain GMP compliance and lead H&S initiatives for team
- Maintain existing and develop new Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track repairs and costs and provide recommendations on improvements and highlighting key technical issues
- Conduct Performance Appraisals for technical support personnel in a timely fashion
- Provide positive image and support role in the implementation and execution of change
- Research and Report on repair histories of equipment to verify warranty eligibility of repair work
- Generate correct repair documents and invoice accordingly
- Travel to Corporate Head office for product training as required
- Provide support for Regulatory Affairs as needed
- Additional responsibilities as required.

Candidate
Requirements |
|
| |
- Associate degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent technical training
- 5 years practical experience, ideally in healthcare
- Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience
- Knowledge of mechanical theory and operation
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations regarding service to customers
- Effective communication/interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Proficient in the use of computer systems
- Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while supporting organization’s overall goals.
- Ability to motivate/train others to act professionally in a high stress; fast paced team environment.
- Bilingual (French) an asset
